Yoga for Kids! (For ages 7 - 12yrs)
Yoga for children promotes a healthy foundation for kids in early life. The Yoga for Kids Course at the Hawthorn Malvern Yoga Centre encourages children to enjoy and have fun with their bodies and they reach, bend, twist and extend!
Yoga promotes health in children:

We teach children how to stretch their limbs like a cat, reach up like a tree, walk on all fours like a dog, be as strong as a warrior and as graceful as a bird.
Emphasise is on integrating the many aspects of ourselves - physical, mental and spiritual. Experience increased strength and flexibility, mental clam and wellbeing all in a friendly and non-competitive environment.
Concentration exercises are also taught enabling children to focus and steady their minds. This helps them to be in the moment and promotes a greater level of awareness to what they are doing at any given time.
We teach them how to breathe deeply to feel strong and softly to become calm. With the yoga relaxation they learn how to relax and unwind. Kids learn to become still and centered. This give then life long tools to be able to combat stress and anxiety which results in mental harmony and a sense of well being.
What they gain from the practice of Yogis and healthy body and mind awareness. This generates confidence and a higher level of self-esteem. Through this they can then make positive choices in their lives. Yoga teaches children how to be healthy physically, mentally and spiritually through the practice of yoga. Course of 6 weeks taken by Romy Roth whose creative and warm nature makes Yoga fun for all.
